Waitlist Tips

On occasion, our classes fill.  Because we are not providing waitlists for professional development electives unless enough learners request one for a specific training, please contact the My Learning support email  to request a waitlist. To read more about how the My Learning handles waitlists, please visit the Resources page of the My Learning website. If you have further questions, please contact the My Learning support email.

Mindful Leadership Advance, 16 total hours

In this two-part series offered jointly by TILT and TD, learn techniques of mindfulness to improve your leadership effectiveness. We live in a VUCA world, meaning that situations marked by volatility, uncertainty, chaos, and ambiguity dominate. It is no wonder that in response, so many leaders experience a lack of focus, extreme distraction, and frenzied multitasking. During this Advance, you will learn research and techniques of mindfulness to improve your leadership effectiveness. Topics include strengths & mindfulness; mindful communication & mindful scheduling; vulnerability, habits & mindfulness; and much more. Instead of calling these events a “retreat,” we are capturing the transformative potential in the name, Advance, since mindfulness applied to the act of leadership can provide a roadmap to transformation. This 16-hour Advance is broken up into two 8-hour sessions.

Comments from participants:

  • I actually was able to connect to a part of myself that I hadn’t “spoken to” in a while and really enjoyed the introspection.
  • I learned] a better understanding of who I am and how I function— it’s freeing to know myself better!
  • I will take the focus fundamental and my strengths and values to tackle my excessive multi-tasking and see if I am able to be more productive focusing on 1 or 2 things at a time.
  • Food for thought that all my values and strengths/talents are relevant for thoughtful ways to lead more mindfully.
