Coaching Services
Inspire
Colorado State University Talent Development provides learning and growth opportunities to full time CSU employees as a part of our mission. In addition to courses and customized team workshops, our team offers voluntary one-on-one developmental coaching to employees.
The International Coaching Federation defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity, and leadership.
Results from the CliftonStrengths Assessment frame and enrich our coaching conversations. Coaching is a confidential, free service for full-time CSU employees, as is access to complete the CliftonStrengths assessment. Only requests from a willing, actual client are accepted.

Types of coaching
Talent Development offers two levels of coaching:
Strengths Coaching: One to three 60-minute sessions focused on understanding and leveraging the individual’s CliftonStrengths results.
Professional Coaching: A longer-term coaching engagement of more than four 60-minute sessions to help the individuals leverage their strengths toward some future outcome. Each coach frames the individual coaching engagement differently based on their primary coaching methodology in addition to Gallup’s strengths based coaching.

Evan C. Welch: As a Gallup certified strengths coach, Evan Welch partners with clients to uncover their distinctive leadership qualities and leverage their unique abilities. Having recently completed Immunity to Change (ITC) facilitator training, Evan supports clients in overcoming hidden obstacles that hinder personal and professional growth by offering practical, sustainable solutions to complex challenges. Evan believes that the best solutions inherently come from within and fosters a coaching environment that validates the experiences of his clients. He creates a space where clients feel they can show up as their true, authentic selves, guiding them through self-reflection activities to reveal powerful personal growth. The PQ approach enables clients to identify, name, and address negative self-talk and beliefs that hinder their personal goals. Evan is passionate about walking alongside others to illuminate their abilities and shape individual growth journeys. He views learning as a lifelong process enriched by mutual exchange, rather than a solitary endeavor.
